24 hour access
A Current Account comes with a debit card which allows access to your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our cash machines.
No minimum balance
With a Current Account you do not need to maintain a minimum balance in your account. However you will need to be earning a specified minimum monthly net income to open the account. Please contact one of our Personal Bankers for more details.
Convenient bills payment
If you have regular monthly bills e.g. rent or insurance premiums, we can set up standing orders from your Current Account to do this rather than paying cash. Alternatively, you can use your Cheque book.

How to apply
To open a Current Account simply complete an application form and hand it over to a Personal Banker at your nearest Barclays branch. You will need to show evidence of your identity such as a Driving Licence, metal or plastic ID card or a valid passport. You will also need a copy of your payslip or letter from your employer.
