The state of the art event management company, 3D EVENTS MANAGEMENT, has done it again. With the coming of the weekend they will be bringing down the South African sensation duo, BLACK MOTION. My Bulawayo managed to catch up with one of the organizers Edmore Toriro who gave us the events company’s brief history
1) How long have you been doing this?
Eddy: Initially I started with a company called All Masters in 2010…left with my partner Mdu (Mduduzi Mdlongwa )in 2010 to start a events company called 3d events management. …we were working from horizon and hosted artists like Black Coffee, Liquid deep and Teargas to name a few…we left horizon last year and we now residenting at Hartfield.
2) Can you give us a brief history of how you started? And how did you come up with the name Tshisanyama?
Eddy: I’ve answered the first part on the first question. ..tshisa nyama came from hard work and experience in this industry. .we wanted a place of our own which we call our home…tshisa nyama is our crown jewel and we are happy to have a place of our own. The concept came from discovering the fact that people enjoy more in a place where they eat drink and relax and that’s the atmosphere we give there.
3) How has the response from the public been?
Eddy: Response from the public has been great…much appreciation to the people of Bulawayo.
4) How has the response from the artists you have called down been?
Eddy: Response from artists has also been good…they didn’t expect people in Bulawayo to be ecstatic and very joyous…they appreciate the love so much.
5) Any words of wisdom to youths who might want to follow in your footsteps?
Eddy: Wise words, what I would say to the youths is life is a journey or process…they should not give up early in whatever they are doing…learn to employ patience in everything then everything becomes possible…the dream is free but the hustle comes with a separate package.
6) What can we expect from you in the future?
Eddy: Expect to see proper events…matured ones. They will be bigger and better, experience an amazing teacher and we have learnt and grown from our mistakes.
