The other side of Africa

When some people think about Africa all that comes to their minds is war torn countries or starving children or people living in shanties and for some an undeveloped continent where people still live in mud huts, hunt to survive and wear traditional regalia . Well that is not always the case.

Africa is one of most intriguing places in the world. There are more than 1000 indigenous languages making Africa multi -cultural and diverse. Africa has been scientific ally proven to be the cradle of mankind. Africa is the home of the biggest desert in the world that is the Sahara desert the magnificent Pyramids, the river Nile which is more than 6800km and flows through 11 countries in Africa , the majestic Victoria Falls that has more than 600 million litres gushing over the edge in a minute and the breath taking Table mountain .
Africa is the richest continent in the world, in terms of its natural and mineral resources. Africa supplies up to 31 percent of the world’s demand for bauxite, cobalt, gold, manganese, phosphate and uranium.
Africa has the famous big 5 which are the most dangerous of animals to hunt the which include the king of the jungle the lion, the elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and the leopard. South Africa recently hosted the Soccer world cup showing that Africa is truly a world of wonders. South Africa has hosted the rugby, cricket and football World Cup.

Well Africa is truly a place of wonder. It’s a place many call home. This is the other side of Africa.
