He is energetic, passionate , funny and outspoken , comedian, actor, model, humanitarian. who am i talking about? My Bulawayo team sat down with the man behind the laughs, the man behind an unique form of comedy Oliver Keith Siamuloboka. My Bulawayo (MB) Oliver keith (O.K)

MB. Describe yourself in 3 words

OK. hardworking, principled and human

MB. who is Oliver Keith?

OK. oliver Keith is a model, an actor and a humanitarian.I am just an ordinary Zimbabwean citizen passionate about success in every part of life. I live , I laugh , I love , I say sorry , I say please and I love God.

MB. Tell us about your educational background

OK.  I attended Baines Primary school in Northend, then went to Bradly Barracks in Paddonhurst.  I did my high school at St Columbus then Ambassador High school , then moved to Zimbabwe College for GSE advanced level. see i moved schools not because i wanted but because we were looking for a cheap and descent school for me. In addition i then enrolled at BES college where i did Mass communication. Upon completion i headed to South Africa to pursue Media at Unisa. i hold a degree in English and Communication.

MB. You cannot live without?

OK. i cant live without wifi ….i am joking God will not like that statement .i cannot live without God , but God is not a thing though …God is his word. in the beginning was his word , his word was with God and his word was God.

MB. what are currently working on?

OK.  i am involved in three campaigns in Bulawayo. the first one is my very own projecct called A woman ‘s worth . this campaign advocates for the simple rights of woman. i am not an activist i merely seek help on behalf of desperate girls who cannot afford sanitary wear. My aim is to positively change that part of the community by making sure i change someone life for the better in that respect. it really pains me to see a 14 year old who just had her first time menstrual cycle experience saying she uses newspapers.

currently am part of the #savemanqoba campaign being spearheaded by Bulawayo journalist. we are all trying to raise $43 000 for baby manqoba to go to India for a heart transplant. anyone willing to donate can contact Robin Muchetu on Facebook.

MB. you love giving back?

OK. yes i love putting a smile on a child there is another organisation called I  am Bible Distribution that work with.we feed people every Thursday at Small City Hall, and we also give career guidance to the youth , as well as send out clothing and food to rural areas. this campaign is being run by Hazel Herrington Meares. it is a christrian.

MB. what motivates you?

OK, i am motivated by woman that wakes up at the crack of dawn to fend for her children. that man who has to take up three jobs to make ends meet and pay school fees for his children . i am motivated NOT by those who cry for world peace and yet cannor spell it.

MB. how is the modelling industry in Zimbabwe?

OK. The modelling industry in Zimbawe is average it is worse in Zambia , Namibia and Malawi. models have an obligation to make the industry better by working hard. Quickly let me tell you if models do not work hard and prove themselves you will see Econet having to hire Jessica Nkosi and Maps Maponyane. By working hard i mean they should get their Z cards in order their look and character in order and be registered with the right agencies.

MB. how did it feel to be the best male model

OK. journalists have mistaken this to i was crowned Mr Bulawayo back since 2009. the mistake even sounds right now , i was excited and humbled. it set me apart and prepared me for other potential titles and endeavours.

MB. what do you want us to know about you

OK. I must say this campaign would not have been possible without donors everyday i get a call from a stranger willing to help and 80% of them are ladies. it is humbling for me as an individual and for those who will benefit from the sanitary wear. the campaign has eceived great support from Zimbabweans locally and abroad.

MB. what would you tell a young boy or girl who wishes to follow your footsteps?

OK. i do not think i am in a position to claim that my footsteps should be followed. i have made many mistakes in life the greatest mistake i have made was complacency and procrastination. i am far from being a role model maybe a little, what i can say is that be careful how you conduct yourself you maybe the only role model ome people will ever have. That’s my quote baba Ncube , you should credit it hahaha…(laughing as always)

MB. what keeps you grounded?

OK. my objectives keep me grounded as well as my principles

MB. are you a comedian?

OK. Hahaha i do not know am not a comedian i am just funny perhaps but yes i have been paid to make people laugh

MB. What are some of the challenges you have faced

OK. i guess everyone faces some challenges in the arts industry . Breakthrough does not come easy and we are dissuaded by such.

MB. what inspired you?

OK. i was inspired by Zimbabweans they always make even the most sad situation turn out just great. i doubt you would understand what i mean ..picture shona woman attending a funeral a funeral ..(kunobata maoko, ukuya bamba izakubulala izandla) theey get to the gate and they decide who will start to cry first i will leave it there.

MB. what annoys you, you seem to be annoyed by a lot looking at your videos

OK. i hate people who text using short hand why should you say ‘Gud mng’ instead of good morning why would someone want to ruin my day like that.

MB. where can one find you?

OK. facebook :oliver keith

instargram: oliverkeith.zw

MB. what is you take on selling sanitary wear and giving condoms for free?

OK. i feel sanitary wear should be given for free because menstrual cycle is not a choice but sex is. the government should distribute sanitary pads to schools these things are important to many girls in Zimbabwe.

MB. Is there future in Art industry of Zimbabwe?

OK. Yes there is a future the industry is growing daily we have talented musicians and actors.the minister responsible for arts in Zimbabwe should promote art and make ammendments and policies to make the industry grow.

MB. what is your parting shot?

OK. live love laugh say sorry say please say thank you and love God.

my advice to the youth particulary those inthe industry is that your attitude palys a great role in your career walk. infact if not adjusted it will make the road to succeess a bit harder and longer,

umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu..munhu munhu  nekuda kwevamwe vanhu

MB. siyabonga
