THE African Development Bank (AfDB) has partnered the public and private sectors in Africa on a new energy deal requiring $40 to $70 billion annually. The deal, which seeks to foster universal access to energy by 2025, comes at a time when most of the African countries including those in the Sadc are faced with a power deficit.
