Eighteen-year-old Courtney Venencia Matende, a Form Six student at Thornhill High School was on Friday night crowned Miss Gweru. The beauty outshone 11 other contestants and walked away with various prizes including a tablet. Zandile Sithole, a 19-year-old University of Zimbabwe student, studying Political Science was crowned first princess and Miss Personality. Michelle Mupasi, a Form Five student at Mkoba 3 High School was crowned second princess and Miss Socialite. The Miss Punctuality title was awarded to Rufaro Musabani.
