My Bulawayo team sat down with a representative of Luveve Matters and also a resident of Luveve Mr Dingani Mhlanga. This was done to let Bulawayo residents to know what is happening in their constituency of Luveve.
(MB). My Bulawayo and( LV) is Luveve matters represented by Dingani Mhlanga
MB.Who is Luveve matters and how did it all get start?
LV .Allow me to first introduce myself, I am Dingani Mhlanga a resident of Luveve I have been in Luveve since 1971. Luveve matters is an association that was formed by the residents of Luveve Constituency with the aim and focus to empower residents of Luveve Constituency. It focuses on improving the life of the people. It was started by the son of Nathan Banana the aspiring member of parliament for Luveve constituency.
MB.What is your vision for the community of Luveve.
LV. as i have highlighted earlier the main focus of Luveve matters is to empower the residents of Luveve constituency, residents empower each other hence it is made up of residents to bring about development in the Luveve constituency. This is a non profit making organisation to aims to bring development.
MB.What community responsibility are you part of as you have highlighted in your mantra?
LV.as soon as we register Luveve Matters we seek to give back to many communities and when we get donations we would love to give back, currently we have soccer tournaments, we empower youths to shy away from drug abuse and all sorts of crime and encourage them to part of social activities. Soccer has been part of Canaan Banana lifetime hence we saw the need to perpetuate the legacy and carry it foward.
MB.How many sections do you cover in Luveve and how do you cover them?
LV.Luveve matters covers the entire Luveve Constituency from New Luveve, Old Luveve, Gwabalanda, Cowdary Park. We empower the community through projects and other activities.
MB.On your twitter timeline you post pictures of soccer kits being donated to Luveve youth centres, are you sponsored or its voluntary work?
LV.currently we receive donations , any one with something to give the community through us we welcome them, we are not sponsored.
MB.How has been your work with the youth centres in Bulawayo?
LV. not at the moment , but we would love to work with the centres as soon we get registered.

LV.as Luveve matters we saw a gap to fill as residents as we were keen to move things and bring about development in the communities. Residents empower each other by sharing ideas and methods.
MB.Tell us about some coming events that you guys as Luveve Matters are planning
LV. At the present moment we are working on creating a document to legalise our association.
MB.How would you want My Bulawayo to assist as part of our aim is to promote projects from Bulawayo and organizations within the city, how can we assist Luveve Matters?
LV. we want to market our association, a bit of advertising from your side will be appreciated.
