The starbrite finals were held in Bulawayo for the first time since the show has been running. They were held at Bulawayo Family of God auditorium.The judges for this year finals were radio and television personality Tinopona Katsande known as Tin Tin, musician Ba Shupi, Trust Gumbo and Alaine.

Brighton Shumba walked away with a $2500 as the winner of starbrite 2017 edition, in the prize humper Shumba also scooped a residential stand, $1000 funeral cover  from Doves funeral policy,  a recording contract, an amazing trip of a life time to the majestic victoria falls,a scholarship which came from music cross roads, head phones from Huawei and a phone handset from Gtel Zimbabwe.

Petros Zimuto was the first runner up for Starbrite 2017 who emerged from Bulawayo, Speaking from the organiser of the Starbrite competition, a radio personality Mr Barney Mpariwa announced how people can get in touch and register for the next season auditions” this season was a very competitive season, it was a difficult time for judges, the quality has grown to another level and the entertainment.” said Mpariwa.
