It’s the last kicks of the dying horse in the Zimbabwean premier soccer league, as there are 4 games remaining before it is decided who are crowned the champions for 2016. The race is still on between the top 3 teams fighting to be at the top of the league. Highlanders football have been on form for a couple of weeks and having been winning their matches ,by so doing putting pressure on Caps United who have also displayed wonderful playing skills this season.
At the top 3 we have FC Platinum who have played well this season beating many teams and remaining at the top of the log standings for a couple of weeks. The journey has been filled with draws, losses and victory for most of the teams, but the champions are yet to be spotted as we enter game 27 this coming week. With 3 points separating the top 3 and a point the race is still open.
The bottom 3 teams who are likely to be relegated include Boarder strikers with 14 points, Mutare city and Tsholotsho FC. For some of these teams packing their bags it’s the only early Christmas present to get this year. Who will surprise soccer lovers and shy away from relegation and the big question is who will be crowned the Champions for this year? Is it FC Platinum, Highlanders or Caps United? Only time will tell as they say football is a funny game one minute you in it to win it the other you booted out.
