In a glittering, colourful wedding Expo hosted by Homestead Conference Centre between 3rd and 4th Avenue along George Silundika St in Bulawayo this past Saturday saw all service providers and wedding planners gathering together to exhibit their services and promotions.

The wedding Expo saw massive advertising prior to the Saturday main event as a bride and groom were paraded in the heart of Bulawayo. Business came to a halt in the Bulawayo CBD as people marvelled the advertisement of this wonderful Wedding Expo. A limozine took the limelight on the ever busy roads of Bulawayo. This year wedding Expo sponsored a lucky couple for an amazing trip to South Africa and enjoy their honeymoon all this courtesy of Homestead Conference Centre.

Service providers showcased their services in the early wee hours of the morning, with various wedding gowns, decoration and entertainment groups and system being at the core of this Wedding Expo. Homestead Conference Centre hosts various events from garden weddings, Workshops, Seminars, church events, and they also have an affordable restaurant which provides a variety of food to suit your appetite.

Speaking to Marshal Malaba from Homestead Conference Centre he was excited about the turnout and the creativity put forward by the service providers, from Decoration, entertainment and outfits.” it was amazing better than last year, we got good leads and the entertainment line up was amazing” said Malaba

Speaking to some exhibitors at this year wedding expo, they raised the need for Bulawayo people to realise the creativity from the service providers and affordability. “We provide entertainment to people of Bulawayo in particular weddings, we are a dance group, which seeks to showcase our talent to the people leaving a memorable mark of their wedding, we are affordable and we make your day standout” echoed one dancer from Harsh Touch

“I have been doing catering for weddings and small functions in the city of Bulawayo, am creative, unique and my meals stand out from the rest and I would like to encourage couples who want to get married to try my meals and they will never regret anything when it comes to catering” alluded one Chef who was part of the exhibitors.

“The wedding expo is an amazing initiative and the next year its going to be bigger , I would like to advice all service providers to create a directory so that it is easy to find them and to give free samples to clients.That way clients will come back to them because they know what exactly they will get from the service providers” alluded Imelda Moyo a Public relations consultant from Power PR Consultancy who also took part in the organising of this year wedding Expo.
