The 58th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair kicks off in a few weeks time. The 2017 exhibition is held under the theme “Harnessing linkages for industrial development”, it will be held on the 25th to the 29th of April in Bulawayo.
The 5 day exhibition include the ZITF International business conference on the 26th of April organised in partnership with National Economic Consultative Frum which will see vice president of the Republic of Zimbabwe Hon E.D Mnangagwa being the guest of honour, he is expected to deliver the key note address.First mutual life are the platinum sponsors for this year’s conference.
Oldmutual and the ministry of industry and commerce are this year’s proud sponsors of the ZITF charity golf challenge which will take place on the 27th of April and the proceeds will be donated to Ingutsheni central hospitalin Bulawayo.
foreign participation which have confirmed their participation include 14 countries.These include Botswana, China, Ethiopia,Germany,Indonesia,Iran,Japan,Kenya,Malawi,Mozambique,Namibia,South Africa, Tanzania as well as Turkey.
Speaking at the ZITF VIP lounge while addressing media personnel the chairperson of the Zimbabwe International Trade FairCompany Ms R.B. Ncube said they are ready and all has been set for this year exhibition.”bookings and enquires continue to come on a daily basis from within Zimbabwe and abroad with a total of 41,000 square metres having been booked so far this represents close to 90% of space taken which is at par with the figures we had this time last year”
she also highlighted some of the activities that one can expect from this year’s exhibition.”the highlight for this year’s event will be the second edition of the high schools debate which will be focusing on children,s rights.The finals of the debate competition are sponsored by UNICEF and will be held on the 26th of April also one can expect career workshops for students as well as high schools quiz focusing on STEM on the 27th of April” she said
ZITF 2017 runs concurrently with the following sector specific expos; A’sambeni Africa Business Tourism Expo, Ultimate Home, Pakprint and Scholastica.
Scholastica will be run under the theme “Information Communication,Technologies for Sustainable Development”
