Bulawayo- The state run communication company has unveiled new area codes as part of their goal to make sure the public gets more landline connection in their homes and offices.

The upgrade also has budget and convenience in mind as with the upgrade customers will be able to recharge their account in advance to avoid surprise bills at the end of the month.

Areas that are already covered are Ruwa, Nkayi, Zvishavane, Kariba, Karoyi, Plumtree, Mazowe, Rusape, Chiredzi, Nyanga, Parts of Marondera and Mutare, Chitungwiza, Juliusdale, Shurugwi, Chipangayi, Cowdraypark, Mucheke, Macheke, Mkoba with Epworth and Sunningdale being the latest beneficiaries.

Shurugwi has changed from 052 to 0252 , Mucheke from 039 to 0239 ,Chipangayi from 024 to 0224,telone has also set new codes for Mkoba 1 and Mkoba 2, 054 to 0254, Cowdray Park in Bulawayo from 09 to 029, Sunningdale from 04 to 024
The new codes are expected to make communication faster for the public.
